The Kyoritsu KEW 3125B is a professional high-voltage digital insulation resistance tester (Megohmmeter) designed for testing insulation in electrical equipment, cables, motors, transformers and industrial systems. It provides selectable test voltages from 250V to 5000V and can measure insulation resistance up to 1TΩ (1000GΩ).
It also provides PI (Polarization Index) and DAR (Dielectric Absorption Ratio) diagnosis, making it suitable for predictive maintenance and professional insulation-condition assessment.

The KEW 3125B offers five selectable test voltages:
At the highest 5000V test voltage, the measurement range extends up to 1000GΩ (1TΩ).
This wide range makes it suitable for both conventional insulation testing and high-voltage industrial applications.
The built-in PI and DAR functions automatically calculate insulation-diagnosis ratios.
These measurements are useful for evaluating insulation condition over time rather than relying only on a single resistance reading. This is particularly useful in motor, transformer, cable and industrial equipment maintenance.
The Guard terminal helps eliminate the influence of leakage currents flowing over the surface of the insulation under test.
This is especially useful when measuring high-resistance insulation, where relatively small leakage currents can affect the measurement accuracy.
Electrical noise can make high-voltage insulation measurements unstable. The KEW 3125B includes a filter function designed to reduce noise interference, helping provide more stable readings in electrically noisy environments.
After an insulation test, the equipment under test can retain an electrical charge. The KEW 3125B includes an automatic discharge function to discharge stored electrical energy after the measurement.
It also provides a live-voltage warning and is rated CAT IV 300V / CAT III 600V according to IEC 61010-1.
