RGB SMD LED 5050 with integrated IC is a digitally addressable smart LED designed for programmable lighting and display applications. Each 5050 package integrates a high-quality RGB LED chip with a built-in constant current driver and control circuit. This allows individual pixel control with 256 grayscale levels (8-bit) per color channel, providing smooth color mixing and high brightness consistency.
The LED operates using a single-wire digital communication protocol. Each pixel receives 24-bit data (8-bit per Red, Green, and Blue channel), processes it internally, and forwards the remaining data to the next LED through the data output pin. Built-in signal reshaping technology ensures stable data transmission even in long cascaded chains.
Each LED receives serial digital data through the DIN pin. After receiving 24-bit color data intended for it, the internal control IC locks the data and outputs the remaining signal through the DOUT pin to the next LED.
The built-in shaping circuit regenerates the waveform before forwarding, preventing cumulative distortion. This allows multiple LEDs to be connected in series without signal degradation.
At a refresh rate of 30 frames per second, the LED operates smoothly without flicker. The internal constant current driver ensures balanced RGB output, improving color accuracy and stability.
